Hi I'm Zeljka Amy Curcic, but you can call me Amy. My husband and I are Croatian-Canadians, and we have two beautiful girls together. Like all parents, we would do anything to give our children all the opportunities we never had. For us, that meant working extremely long hours at multiple jobs in order to give our girls the best chance at life. The long hours came at a cost; we had little time to spend with our family, we were exhausted, and we still weren't able to afford to the lifestyle we dreamed of.

After years of working at restaurants, delivering newspapers, cleaning offices, picking up shifts at the hospital, running a home daycare - I was exhausted. There were months where I wouldn't have a single day off. I was working so hard to provide for my children, that I didn't even have time leftover to spend with them. I also began to suffer from debilitating chronic migraines, taking away even more time from my family. After all the stress and exhaustion, I decided that I had to work for myself. I haven't looked back since.
